DOK-ING Exhibits at Interschutz

DOK-ING exhibited its new MVF-5 Fire Fighting System at the International Exhibition for Rescue, Fire Prevention, Disaster Relief, Safety, and Security in Leipzig, Germany. The leading industry trade fair, also known as Interschutz 2010 (07th – 12th June), is held every five years and fielded more than 1,350 exhibitors from 46 nations. The exhibition attracted over 125,000 industry professionals and visitors over six days.

The MVF-5 was the only remote-controlled Fire Fighting System in its class.  The technology is important because it allows fire fighters to work in dangerous conditions and keeps the operator away at a safe distance. The MVF-5 is an outstanding example of cooperation with the European Union FP7 Research and Development Program.

The MVF-5 is an improved version of the Jelka-4 that was developed for the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (Russian EMERCOM). A Russian delegation headed by Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu visited DOK-ING.

Other distinguished visitors included representatives from France, Austria, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Iran, Egypt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany, and many others.
