One of the first & most loyal DOK-ING clients – Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD) has been able to increase its mine action capabilities in Tajikistan by introducing the mechanical demining. FSD has initially transferred one MV-4A mini-flail # 064 from Juba Area in S. Sudan to Dushanbe in the beginning of August 2010. Prior to its deployment in Tajikistan, the 5-years old MV-4A mini-flail has been fully inspected and serviced by DOK-ING technicians at the Company’s facilities in Zagreb.

Based on the Japanese donation, FSD has purchased additional new MV-4B # 121 getting it in Dushanbe by the end of August 2010.

During the period of 23 August–5 September 2010 DOK-ING 4-men training team has been conducting a full-scale MV-4 training course in the GA of Lahur with the selected personnel from FSD Mine Action Programme in Tajikistan.  As a result of the training, totally 11 FSD personnel have been qualified to operate with the MV-4 Mini-Flails being divided into 2 MV-4 Mechanical Teams, including 2 Team Leaders, 4 MV-4 Operators, 2 MV-4 Mechanics and 3 MV-4 Electricians. Both teams will soon be deployed at the Tajik-Afghanistan border to conduct mechanical demining operation. One DOK-ING Mechanical Operations Manager will stay with the teams till end 2010.
