Training of personnel for XLPD Robotic System in the PJSC Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Production Association

The successful shipment of DOK-ING XLPD Robotic System to the mine owned by the PJSC Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Production Association was followed by the client’s personnel training and XLPD underground industrial testing in Krasnokamensk, Russia.

The training program included local capacity building to enable 6 future operators, 2 mechanics and 2 electricians to use XLPD Robotic system with a bucket tool, and resulted in 10 Russian specialists trained and ready for narrow reef mining operations. It was conducted by two DOK-ING skilled instructors-mechanics who gained their knowledge and practical experience during training programs conducted in Canada, Chile and South Africa.

The PJSC Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Production Association is the largest diversified mining and processing company in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the flagship of the Russian uranium mining industry. The company’s representative pointed out the XLPD’s key benefits for portal Zabinfo.ru: “The main advantage of the new equipment is its compactness, which allows mining operations in narrow bedded ore bodies with minimal vertical cutting of waste rocks. The use of the machine allows to reduce the cost of drilling, fastening and delivery of ore mass. Remote control is a big plus because the operator is in a safe area.”
