DOK-ING Makes Historic Donation of MV-4 to Ukraine at GLOBSEC Forum, Reinforcing Commitment to Global Safety and Innovation

Prague, Czech Republic, 31.08.2024. – Today DOK-ING marked a significant milestone as the pioneering private company made a historic donation of its advanced MV-4 Demining Robotic System to the Ukrainian State Special Transport Service (SSTS). This landmark gesture, which took place during the prestigious Globsec Forum in Prague, underscores a powerful commitment to enhancing safety and security in Ukraine. The MV-4, a cutting-edge demining system, symbolises a vital step forward in the collaborative efforts to ensure a safer future for regions affected by conflict.

Mr Vjekoslav Majetić, the founder and owner of DOK-ING, officially transferred ownership of the MV-4 Robotic System to Colonel Serhii Bilevych, Deputy Head of State Special Transport Service Training Center.

The ceremony was also attended by Ivan Anušić, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the Republic of Croatia who announced this landmark donation. The handover ceremony took place during the panel “Demining: Stage Zero of the Reconstruction of Ukraine.” The panel was expertly moderated by Martin Sklenár, Former Minister of Defence of Slovakia and Distinguished Fellow at GLOBSEC. During the donation, present were also Serhiy Boyev, the Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine and Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Vjekoslav Majetić, the founder and owner of DOK-ING stated: Today, DOK-ING is honoured to donate one of our MV-4 systems to the Ukrainian State Special Transport Service. As Ukraine confronts the world’s largest landmine crisis, we hope this contribution will support their courageous efforts to make the land safe for civilians, playing a crucial role in the nation’s recovery and rebuilding. Our commitment to Ukraine goes beyond this donation. We are establishing a branch office in Kyiv to provide ongoing support, share our expertise, and strengthen the bonds between our nations.

The Ministry of Defense (MORH) published on its website: “The Minister also participated in a presentation during which the Croatian company DOK-ING donated its advanced demining robotic system MV-4 to Ukraine which has gained international recognition for its exceptional performance in removing mines and explosive devices and represents an important step forward for the Croatian defence industry. The Minister emphasised the importance of innovation and domestic production in strengthening national security.”

This milestone donation in humanitarian support happened during the 19th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum, on 31st September 2024. DOK-ING was one of the main partners of this iteration of the Forum which is recognized as one of Europe’s premier dialogue platforms, dedicated to highlighting Central and Eastern Europe’s increasing role in maintaining global stability and prosperity.
