The first conference of Croatian Association for the development and application of hydrogen fuel cells „Pure hydrogen in development, production and application in Croatia“ took a place at DOK-ING’s headquarters on Thursday, September 24th.
The conference, sponsored by the Ministry of the Economy and Sustainable Development and, in partnership with the Croatian Chamber of Economy, gathered numerous guests from the Croatian entrepreneurial scene, as well as representatives of public institutions.
The host of the conference and DOK-ING’s owner and founder Vjekoslav Majetić presented the work of the company so far, production lines and the experience DOK-ING has gained on the world market. “We may not be able to do large series production in Croatia, but we can make innovative products,” said Majetić, who also presented modifications to the company’s Tom-Tom vehicle, a light electric delivery vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
The projects of the Croatian Association for the development and application of hydrogen fuel cells “Clean hydrogen for blue Danube and green Slavonia” and “Pure hydrogen for blue Adriatic Sea” were presented by President of the Association Ivica Jakić.
Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for Industry and Energy Tomislav Radoš concluded: “Investments in hydrogen from renewable sources in Europe could reach as much as 470 billion euros by 2050. Stronger introduction of hydrogen as another green option would help achieve decarbonisation goals, reduce dependence Croatia on energy imports and encouraged the development of domestic industry which shows great interest in this new business area “.
