SUPPORTING UKRAINE’S PATH TOWARDS A MINE-FREE FUTURE AT THE DEMINE UKRAINE FORUM IN KYIV
The Demine Ukraine Forum in Kyiv brought together key actors working to confront one of the most critical humanitarian and security challenges facing Ukraine today: the vast contamination of landmines and explosive remnants of war. Our team was honoured to participate and engage with partners who share the same commitment to restoring safety to Ukrainian communities.
One of the speakers addressing the conference was Peter Wagner, head of Foreign Policy Instruments at the European Commission, who delivered a powerful message on behalf of the European Commission. He emphasised the EU’s “collective determination to support Ukraine, deepen cooperation, and find practical solutions to the immense challenges of landmine decontamination.” These words reflect not only a political and humanitarian commitment but also the concrete, operational cooperation that happens every day on the ground.

EU Delivered a Measurable Impact
The systems the European Commission has delivered to Ukraine include DOK-ING’s unmanned systems, engineered for the high-risk environments of humanitarian demining tasks. Their performance in Ukraine demonstrates what reliable, field-proven systems can achieve when supported by structured cooperation between European institutions, partners, and local authorities.
So far, through joint efforts, our systems have contributed to:
- More than 25,000,000 m² of land cleared
- Over 10,000 explosive neutralised UXO’s
- 300+ Ukrainian operators trained to use and maintain the systems independently, effectively transferring vital know-how
This combination of technology, training, and institutional support accelerates demining day by day, ultimately helping restore access to farmland, infrastructure, and homes.
Why Reliability Matters: Lessons From Croatia
Our systems earned their reputation long before arriving in Ukraine. For decades, they were an essential asset in the demining efforts of Croatia, a country that, after the 1990s conflict, faced widespread landmine contamination similar in nature to what Ukraine is experiencing today. Through long-term deployment, continuous innovation, and operational experience, these systems helped clear many of Croatia’s most demanding areas.
Croatia’s demining efforts are now approaching their final milestone: the country is set to be mine-free by 1 March 2026. It stands as proof that persistent cooperation, robust technology, and trained operators can deliver results that once seemed out of reach.
Support to Ukraine
We believe the same kind of positive trajectory is possible for Ukraine. Each cleared square meter, each trained operator, each destroyed explosive device moves the country closer to a future where families can return home, farmers can access their fields, and communities can rebuild safely.
Our message to Ukraine remains simple:
You are not alone.
You have our support in every sense.
And together, we work toward the day Ukraine becomes mine-free.
