Croatia Recognized as a Leading Expert in Demining in the European Union

Zagreb,  Croatia, 26th October 2022 – The Croatian company DOK-ING, a world leader in the development and production of robotic and autonomous systems and equipment for special purposes, presented and demonstrated robotic systems for humanitarian demining and military engineering to the President of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mr Ruslan Stefanchuk. This presentation and demonstration are responses to the requirement for demining activities in Ukraine as a result of military actions on its soil. Also, DOK-ING demonstrated its critical infrastructure protection machines due to recent aggressor attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. DOK-ING, alongside the Republic of Croatia, offers its expertise in demining activities, where it is recognised as a leading specialist in the European Union.

“Croatia is a leader in demining activities. We are currently looking for someone to help us clear the territory of Ukraine from the mines. We particularly appreciate Croatia’s level of competence given its thirty years of experience in mine clearance. I want to praise the presentation and demonstration for this reason, and I believe Croatia has a lot to contribute to demining of Ukrainian territory. The most innovative demining techniques are what Ukraine needs but behind all of their technology, there are always people,” emphasizes Ruslan Stefančuk, President of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, thanking his friends from Croatia and noting that he hopes that the Ukrainian territory will be returned to the people as soon as possible so they can continue with the country’s normal socio-economic activities.

“DOK-ING company as an international market leader with more than 80% of the market share for humanitarian demining and military engineering, is a reliable partner with unique experience in demining. We are ready to offer our expertise to Ukraine, and ultimately the products of the Croatian security and defense industry developed to protect our homeland.“, emphasizes Marijo Grgurinović, President of the DOK-ING Management Board and continues: “We are proud that our MV-4 machine, the world’s best-selling robotic system for humanitarian and military demining, has served in missions to remove many explosive devices in numerous countries around the world. Another machine in the demining machine portfolio, the MV-10 is a unique machine that uses a dual special tool for anti-tank mines. Our machines are controlled by an operator from a safe distance via remote control protecting human lives which is in line with our motto ‘Don’t send a man to do a machine’s job’. We are ready to help Ukraine in demining the territory, which is estimated at around 200,000 square kilometres”.
