“Our office’s launch in Kyiv today marks a major turning point in our history and a testament to our constant support of Ukraine and our strong faith in the potential of bilateral collaboration. Our sole goal when we set out on this trip thirty years ago was to save human lives. We are now bringing our aim to Ukraine: “Don’t send a man to do a machine’s job.” We intend to maintain our support for demining initiatives and broaden our operations to include additional domains such as the protection of critical infrastructure through this office. We also intend to collaborate with the Ukrainian defense industry to develop new technologies that will benefit both our nations.” – said Vjekoslav Majetić, founder and owner of DOK-ING.

DOK-ING Ukraine will act as a focal point for collaboration, easing communication between the Ukrainian government, foreign stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, local partners and others. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, DOK-ING, known for its advanced robotic demining systems, has already delivered 45 robotic demining systems to Ukraine, helping clear nearly 12 million square meters of contaminated land and neutralizing over 5,600 landmines and other explosive remnants of war—all without a single casualty. By the end of this year, DOK-ING will have delivered 67 robotic demining systems overall since the start of the full scale invasion and will have trained more than 200 specialists to operate and maintain them. “DOK-ING has always been driven by a deep sense of purpose. Our goal remains the same whether we are battling fires, clearing mines, or protecting critical infrastructure: to preserve human lives and the environment. We are aware of what it takes to reconstruct an economy and a nation following a catastrophic war. Croatia, like Ukraine, has also been a victim of unprecedented aggression. We know the challenges, but we also know that recovery is possible with the right partners, tools, and determination” – innovator Majetić added.

CROATIAN PRIME MINISTER PLENKOVIĆ ATTENDED THE OPENING OF DOK-ING’S OFFICE IN UKRAINE
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković emphasized the importance of demining in Ukraine’s recovery process, stating: Mines are one of the leading causes of injuries, not only during the conflict but for decades afterward. Croatia has faced similar challenges, and although our war ended in 1995, we are still working to complete demining by 2026. The situation in Ukraine is far more complex and will require significant time and resources to resolve. DOK-ING’s experience and technology will be crucial in supporting Ukraine’s efforts.” – Prime Minister Plenković also added:I think that this specific set of skills, knowledge and experience that DOK-ING has is truly unique because you are one of the global leaders in your field of work, especially in the matter of “unmanned” robotic demining systems.” He also highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Croatia and Ukraine and praised DOK-ING’s partnerships with international organizations to address this challenge.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko acknowledged DOK-ING’s contribution to Ukraine’s demining efforts, stating:Demining is a prerequisite for Ukraine’s economic recovery. Last year, we managed to return 200,000 hectares of agricultural land back into use, largely thanks to DOK-ING machines. I am proud to see DOK-ING establish a presence in Kyiv as one of the best Croatian companies, and I look forward to increased collaboration between our countries.” Svyrydenko also emphasized the importance of localizing production to create jobs and boost the Ukrainian economy.
