DOK-ING and Valhalla Turrets Unite to Advance Defence Innovation: MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD Premieres at SIDEC 2025

DOK-ING AND VALHALLA TURRETS STRENGTHEN INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED COUNTER-UAS SYSTEM SHOWCASED AT SIDEC 2025

October 24, 2025, Celje, Slovenia – During SIDEC 2025, DOK-ING and Valhalla Turrets officially signed a Teaming Agreement, further strengthening their partnership and laying the foundation for future joint projects that will continue to push the boundaries of defence innovation.

This milestone represents a major advancement in the industrial partnership between DOK-ING and Valhalla Turrets, one driven by a shared commitment to technological excellence and defence innovations. Through this collaboration, companies will jointly develop next-generation unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), counter-UAS, and very/short-range air defence (V/SHORAD) systems. The cooperation integrates DOK-ING’s proven robotic platforms, including the KOMODO UGV, with Valhalla’s advanced turret portfolio and modular weapon and sensor payload architecture, enabling both companies to develop, integrate, promote, and export advanced unmanned and remote weapon solutions for the global defence market.

Presentation of the MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD Unmanned System

As a direct result of the cooperation between DOK-ING and Valhalla Turrets, the companies premiered the new counter-UAS unmanned system MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD at SIDEC 2025. The integrated system provides unmanned capabilities for counter-UAS operations, combat support, and anti-armour operations, designed to increase force readiness and minimise risk to operational forces. This unmanned platform embodies next-generation mobility, survivability, and technical efficiency in one powerful system — representing a new standard of unmanned defence capability.

The Komodo unmanned modular system ensures versatile operational capabilities across C-UAS/vSHORAD, mobility, counter-mobility, CBRNe, and other combat support missions, shaping a new chapter of modular and flexible defence capabilities.

The system is engineered to respond decisively and effectively to modern operational challenges, offering comprehensive protection against evolving multi-domain threats while maintaining the highest levels of reliability and safety in complex mission environments. Both MV-8 Komodo and Mangart 25 AD represent a hard-earned achievement, born from the vision, courage, and expertise of two companies that recognised the necessity and potential of such technology and adequately responded with precision and purpose, achieving the best possible integration of technology and mission.

“This collaboration holds exceptional significance for both our companies. We have once again demonstrated our high level of technological development and readiness to recognise the needs of the market and to develop systems that are fully aligned with today’s security challenges and demand.
This partnership also represents recognition for both Croatia and Slovenia, whose institutions have shown great support for this project,  proving that highly competitive and globally needed solutions can only be realised through close cooperation between the private and public sectors,” stated Gordan Pešić, CEO of DOK-ING.

A Shared Vision for a Safer Future

SIDEC 2025 was a remarkable event, one that reflected the vision of DOK-ING and showcased the direction of the company’s future innovations.
The most significant achievements are those that result from collective effort and a shared strategic purpose, and MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 exemplify this synergy in practice.
DOK-ING extends its sincere gratitude to all visionaries, innovators, engineers, and partners who contributed to creating this next-generation system, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to a safer and more stable future.

SIDEC 2025 – A Hub of Innovation and Defence Cooperation

Organised by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, in cooperation with the Slovenian Armed Forces and the Slovenian Defence Industry Cluster, the first international defence industry fair, SIDEC, was held at the Celje Fairgrounds from October 21 to 24, 2025. The event gathered the world’s leading manufacturers of defence technology, high-ranking representatives, and numerous experts from the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and modern defence technologies.

A total of 172 companies and organisations from 20 countries presented their latest solutions across more than 10,000 square meters of exhibition space. Among them were 110 Slovenian companies, most of which are part of the Slovenian Defence Industry Cluster, alongside a large number of internationally recognised exhibitors in the fields of defence technologies, security systems, communications, unmanned platforms, and logistics support.
