27 May 2025 Ukrainian Officials Visited DOK-ING as Part of a Study Tour
DOK-ING hosted a delegation of senior Ukrainian officials visiting Croatia as part of a study tour organised by EUAM Ukraine and the Croatian Ministry of the Interior
Last Friday, DOK-ING hosted a delegation of senior Ukrainian officials visiting Croatia as part of a study tour organised by EUAM Ukraine and the Croatian Ministry of the Interior. The group included representatives from Ukraine’s Parliament, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Police, Security Service, Office of the Prosecutor General, and other key institutions.
Their visit to Croatia was part of a wider programme focused on sharing knowledge and practical experience from the Croatian post-war recovery model. With its own history of war and large-scale contamination, Croatia has developed an internationally respected mine action system. This includes not only demining technologies, but also the legal, institutional and training frameworks that have helped return land to safe civilian use. DOK-ING, as one of the key players in this field, was proud to contribute to this exchange.
During their time at our headquarters in Zagreb, the delegation met with our Chief Technical Advisor, Mr Konstantin Darmaniyan, who presented DOK-ING operations in Ukraine and our wider approach to humanitarian demining. Željka Krhač from HCR-CTRO (Croatian Mine Action Centre – Centre for Testing, Development and Training) introduced the role of Croatia’s national certification body, the only accredited institution for testing and certifying demining machines, mine detection dogs, detection and personnel protective equipment.
DOK-ING currently has 69 robotic demining systems operating across Ukraine, including 49 MV-10 heavy-duty systems and 20 light-category MV-4 systems. The five largest operators of these systems are SESU (State Emergency Service of Ukraine), SSTS (State Transport Special Service of the Ukrainian MOD), the Armed Forces of Ukraine, FSD (Fondation Suisse De Deminage) and NPA (Norwegian People’s Aid), alongside several other users. Most of the systems in Ukraine were delivered through international technical assistance and donation initiatives. DOK-ING is especially proud to be the first private company donating an MV-4 robotic demining system from its own resources to the SSTS of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine at the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague in 2024.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, DOK-ING systems have helped clear around 20 million square metres of contaminated land and neutralise over 9,050 mines, cluster munitions, UXO and other explosive remnants of war, all without a single casualty. About 300 Ukrainian operators, mechanics and mechanical team leaders have been trained by DOK-ING, some of them here in Croatia, others directly in Ukraine.
To ensure long-term and reliable support, we opened a branch office in Kyiv in September 2024 and deepened our partnership with the Ukrainian company A3TEH-UKRAINE. This partnership allows us to localise production of spare parts and consumables, promptly conduct required in-field technical support, and assemble machines directly in Ukraine. It’s a model we believe in, one that combines expertise with trust, local capacity and strengthening the local Ukrainian economy.
Our roots as the company go back to the Croatian Homeland War. Unfortunately, we know what minefields mean, not just technically, but emotionally and socially. That’s why we’re committed to helping others recover, especially Ukraine, the country with which we share many similarities. Through technology, training and strong partnerships, we will continue to support Ukraine in making its land safe again.
