Among 35 Nations, DOK-ING Confirmed as the Pinnacle of Expertise at the Symposium on Mine Action 2024 in Cavtat

Cavtat, Croatia, 11.04.2024. Among the distinguished delegations from 35 countries at the Symposium on Mine Action in Cavtat, DOK-ING stood out as the pinnacle of expertise and innovation in the field of mine action. More than 200 participants, as well as 13 exhibitors, attended the 20th International Symposium on Mine Action 2024 held from April 9th to 11th in Cavtat.

With a rich history of pioneering innovations and relentless dedication, DOK-ING’s presence was crucial in providing invaluable insights and solutions for the complex challenges in global demining. At this event, experts from different parts of the world exchanged experiences, discussed the latest technologies and methods, and identified challenges, while DOK-ING presented sustainable solutions in the fight against mines and explosive remnants of war. DOK-ING’s profound contributions highlighted the company’s key role as a global leader in the ongoing mission to preserve human lives, property, and the environment on the path to a safer future.

From its inception to the present day, DOK-ING has been testing its robotic systems and their development at the Croatian Mine Action Center – Testing, Development, and Training Center (HCR-CTRO). In this way, over the past twenty years, users around the world have been introduced to the issue of humanitarian demining and its resolution through demonstrations and education using demining robotic systems.

The pressing issue of ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, where the population is directly affected by mines and other explosive remnants of war, was highlighted at the symposium. This emphasized the undeniable need for an organized, systematic, and experienced institutional framework that supports every country facing this problem. DOK-ING dedicated its presentation at the symposium to its prominent contribution in the field of mine action in 40 countries worldwide, with a particular focus on demining efforts in Ukraine.

Konstantin Darmaniyan, Chief technical advisor at DOK-ING, during his presentation, emphasized: In the fight against mines and remnants of armed conflicts, DOK-ING stands out as the pinnacle of expertise and innovation, providing sustainable solutions to complex challenges worldwide. Our commitment extends beyond innovation, production, and sales to providing training and knowledge transfer in the field of mechanical demining, confirming our role in saving lives and restoring affected areas worldwide. Key stakeholders and decision-makers from around the world present here today have been users of our robotic systems for many years. In Ukraine, as of March 31, 2024, DOK-ING’s robotic systems have cleared 4,589,223 m² of land contaminated with mines and explosive remnants of war, aiming for the swift restoration of functional life for residents. Our MV-4 and MV-10 robotic systems have saved many lives of civilian populations and ensured the safety of the operators and deminers during the clearance of agricultural and infrastructure areas.”

The main objective of this three-day event was to identify challenges and provide technological and innovative solutions in the field of mine action, while also reviewing the latest scientific and practical achievements. Participants had an excellent opportunity not only to exchange their experiences but also to actively engage in discussions about solutions to technical and managerial challenges. This event was not only dedicated to showcasing new technologies but also to promoting collaboration and synergy among experts from different parts of the world to enhance the effectiveness of mine action operations and reduce the humanitarian crisis caused by mines.

The symposium was organized under the high patronage of the Croatian Parliament, in cooperation with the Swiss Confederation as a partner country. The Symposium on Mine Action has been recognized as a global platform for leading experts, the public and private sectors, and civil society in the field of mine action from Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America.
