16 Apr 2025 Successful Deployment of DOK-ING’s MV-4 Robotic Demining System in Ukraine
UKRAINE’S FIRST COMPLETED DEMINING MACHINE RENTAL PROJECT: DOK-ING’S MV-4 ROBOTIC SYSTEM SUCCESSFULLY DEPLOYED WITH SAFELANE GLOBAL
In April 2025, Ukraine marked a significant milestone in humanitarian demining: the successful completion of the country’s first rental-based demining operation using a robotic system. The project was carried out by DOK-ING, in partnership with A3-Tech and SafeLane Global-demonstrating how cross-border expertise and local capability can deliver tangible results.
The MV-4 machine was deployed by SafeLane Global under Prozorro tender for a technical survey task in the Mykolaiv Oblast. Over the three days course, the MV-4 has cleared 20,837 square meters of land, detonated one PMN-2 anti-personnel mine, and exposed multiple explosive hazards, including two POM-2 mines, three 220mm rockets, one OF-49 120mm mortar bomb, and one S5 57mm air-to-surface munition.
A3-Tech fully facilitated the process, handling the rental, logistics, and readiness of the robotic system, and remained on standby throughout for any necessary maintenance or support.
The project serves as a clear demonstration of the strength of DOK-ING’s operational model: world-class technology, strong local support, and collaboration with top-tier humanitarian operators. The success of this effort sets a powerful precedent for the broader adoption of rental-based mechanical demining solutions in Ukraine.
“The first completed deal is very indicative for other mine action operators, because it demonstrates that a machine can be rented even for a few days and close a large part of the work. This is how the market works – it offers different solutions for different conditions,” said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Ihor Bezkaravainyi.
With SafeLane Global expressing full satisfaction with the performance and efficiency of DOK-ING’s MV-4, the project stands as a testament to what’s possible when proven technology and experienced partners come together to serve one of Ukraine’s most urgent recovery needs.
